About the Founder

I work as an activities coordinator in a dementia care facility and daily accompany around 20 residents with creative activities, cognitive exercises, and sensory offerings. KraftWald emerged from the desire to make the practical ideas and experiences that truly help in everyday life accessible to family caregivers.

I founded KraftWald because I've experienced firsthand how challenging everyday life with dementia can be – not only for the people living with it, but also for the people lovingly caring for them.

My path into dementia care began with ordinary everyday life in the facility. I was "too slow" – forty minutes to help someone get dressed, while others managed it in ten. But speed wasn't my concern. I wanted no one to feel rushed, for every movement to happen with calm, dignity, and respect.

Later, I moved into activities work. Four hours a month to create an entire monthly plan – barely any budget, barely any materials, barely any time. Every day I improvised and noticed how much pressure family caregivers are under, trying to accomplish the same thing at home. It wasn't love that was lacking. It was strength – and ideas that didn't overwhelm.

That's why I designed KraftWald the way I would have needed it myself: as a place where quiet, doable, and dignified moments are allowed to emerge – moments that give energy instead of costing it. Here you'll find activities for people with dementia that gently accompany, spark joy, don't overwhelm, and work with simple means. And words that say: "You're doing well. You don't have to manage this alone."

KraftWald is my quiet contribution to everyday life that's often too loud – a place where people who carry much can breathe a little lighter again.
